Much like the previous review I too was rescheduled, I understand that equipment fails and sets the schedule back, a little notification would be nice, both times I was notified during or after the delivery window that they wouldnt be able to make it out and if I could reschedule, they then proceeded to reschedule me 2 days out instead of the next day, than when those 2 days came and went I was again rescheduled for another 2 days out, the spot where my pod was parked was private property as I had sold it and the new tennant was threatening to have the unit towed, guess what, pods was able to come out the next day and get it, since it was their property that would have been relocated and possibly damaged they did what was necessary so that "broke down vehicle" that was unable to pick up my pod appeared next day to get it, than more than 3 weeks later when I wanted it redelivered to my new location they again are claiming the same scenario "broke down" and would like to reschedule but now it effects me as we can all imagine how it would feel to have to wait another week to move into your new house, but now that they have my pod at their warehouse it doesn't effect them so pushing me aside doesn't hurt them at all. I don't blame anyone or dislike anyone in the company, the customer service does exactly what they are told and paid to do but the chain of command and lack of communication is what blows this whole thing out of proportion as the only way to communicate to the local office is have a minimum wage CSR call them and relay your message or even leave a voicemail that is never returned. go with pack rat or any other company, better yet rent a uhaul and put your stuff somewhere you know you can access it without this crap.

PODS altered the delivery date without notification. This caused me to lose the unloading help that was scheduled for the original delivery date. Calls to their customer service line brought no response. Threats of BBB notification brought no response. (Did file a formal complaint with the BBB and that still has gotten no response from PODS.) The sum total appears that once PODS has your credit card number, your needs are of no concern.

Awesome Service!!!!!

I have used PODS 2 times in the past 5 years, and the service was great each time. The call center was my first step in ordering, lets just say, they must make minimum wage, so be patient......after completing your order, if you have any questions or concerns, ask the representative to connect you to the franchise, I spoke with Adina, in Columbus Ohio.....She sure knows her stuff!!!...from there it was a breeze. This last PODS use, I was worried about packing & moving a Hutch my mom just gave to me, The local franchise informed me that even though when the POD is dropped off and picked up it stays level with that cool lift system, they can't account for the conditions of our city and state roadways during transport. She suggested using rope to secure the peice and moving pads to prevent scratching, it totally made sense!! The drivers I had were careful and super nice! I stored my stuff in their warehouse in Grove City, I had like 3 POD visits there.....let me just say..CLEAN...Who ever is in charge over there must run a tight ship, I love clean! And like clock work my POD was delivered to my new home, the hutch made it in perfect condition, and looks fantastic in my dining room! Thanks PODS for another EASY Move!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's a great idea and all but they fail to tell you some things that I think you should be aware of. What they don't tell you as you're planning on where exactly in your driveway to have them place it, is that the machine needs 2 extra feet on each side. In my case, that meant putting the pod more towards the center of my driveway so that the lowering maching did not ruin my flower beds on either side of the driveway. Now, I can't even use my driveway as it doesn't leave enough space for my truck to get by it. Also, I got the 8x8x16 pod. Well, it is NOT 8 feet wide. It is abotu 7.5 feet wide and believe me, if you're planning on packing that thing in, an exta 6 inches all the way down the length of the POD DOES make a difference. Lastly, when the guy placed the empty pod down, he was very rough with it. I'm HOPING that he's much more gentle once he picks my full pod up.
